West Point graduate. Former U.S. Army Battery Commander. 19+ years turning purpose into practice.
Gary graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1984 with a B.S. in Engineering, then served as a Battery Commander in the U.S. Army at Fort Bliss, Texas, from December 1984 to September 1992. Command taught him something he has spent the rest of his career proving: people rise to the level of what they believe about themselves, and most of them are working from a badly outdated estimate.
In 2007 he and his wife, Deloris, co-founded Delgar Publishing in order to bring Dare to Discover Yourself into print. Since then he has spent more than nineteen years as a motivational speaker and life and career coach based in El Paso, Texas, working with organizations and individuals at the turning points where direction matters more than advice.
His conviction is simple and unfashionable: real success starts with discovering who you are, before you go chasing what you want. The book carries a foreword by the bestselling author of The Complete Personalized Promise Bible.

Delgar Publishing was founded for the express purpose of helping authors get published, with a focus on motivational and self-help work. Gary and his wife Deloris started the company in 2007 in order to publish his first book, Dare to Discover Yourself.
